Rachel and Joe Gavin
Joe grew up in Cornwall, New York. He came to faith as a college student at the New England Conservatory of Music. Joe’s major interests include connecting the gospel to contemporary culture and empowering college students for creative ministry. He’s served with Chi Alpha as a campus missionary since the Fall of 2000 and married his favorite co-worker in April of 2006. Joe loves to run, hike, or backpack in the mountains, and he is unapologetic in his devotion to the New York Yankees.
Rachel grew up in Louisiana. She became a committed follower of Jesus as a college freshman at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Rachel has served as a campus missionary with Chi Alpha since the Fall of 1999. She enjoys training spiritual leaders and mentors, as well as helping college students to integrate faith into their everyday lives as future professionals. Rachel spends her leisure time with her husband and partner in ministry. She also likes reading, hiking, and drinking coffee.
